A country walk

Saturday we went for a country walk.


Here are the kids making "grass angels."


We are lucky to live a mile away from a reservoir, it's nice to get out there and go for hikes.

Pancake fish

We went to a pancake dinner at church. There was a small contest that
involved making something out of a small stack of pancakes - our entry
was a pancake fish.

At work

I am an IT guy, here are some pictures of our data center. These are a few rows of the 15 rows of equipment I help manage - the computers that most people never see but often use. This is the place where webservers, mail servers, firewalls, and hundreds of other computers live.

Armadillo palace

I worked late last night, so some co-workers and I went to the Armadillo Palace for supper. Above is a picture of the giant armadillo in front of building. I ordered some sort of grilled chicken with melted swiss, mushrooms and BBQ sauce - it was really good.

Tile

This past weekend I started to lay some tile in the master bedroom. Years ago I tiled the entire house, minus the master bedroom - I took a break. I've had the stacks of tile sitting in the garage, last Saturday I picked-up the project again. I did a little less than half of the room because I had to work around the furniture. I hope to finish laying the rest this week end, and then I will grout the weekend after that.

Beautiful morning

It seems like I don't see very many beautiful morning skies - maybe
it's the city smog. Today was different, the sky was beautiful this
morning. It really makes for a good start of the day.

At home depot

The first Saturday of every month, home depot has a kids work shop.
The kids love to go build stuff - Today it was a toy car display case.
