Sydney gets her cast

Well, a few tears and a few x-rays later, Sydney now has a cast on her broken arm. She was a tuff girl through the whole thing.

Last night we went for a drive to look at the decorated homes in the area. These are the two best ones:

Last night Sydney took a spill off a step ladder and broke her left forearm. She and momma spent most of the night at the ER while i stayed home with the boys. Sydney was a trooper and remained tuff through the whole ordeal.
At the ER they set the bone and put on a splint. She will see a doctor in about a week and a half, after the swelling goes down - she will get a cast then.

Aubrey's birthday

Today we are celebrating Aubrey's birthday. We drove up to New Braunfels for the party.

Soccer tournament

Last weekend Logan played in a soccer tournament - his team far second place. The kids did great they played five games from 9am until 4 pm.

While in New Braunfels we visited Travis' place of business - very impressive. He really has put-in quite a bit of work on his business, we wish him the best.

Stingray

This Sunday we went down to the coast to fish and swim.  While down there, to our surprise, we caught a very large stingray.  I now know that Stingrays are very tough to bring-in, it felt like I had a tire at the end of the line.  Wish we could have gotten a better picture, but the ray was so heavy that I couldn’t pick it up.

Dynamos

A friend of mine gave me some tickets to the Dynamo game, so we watched the Dynamos play "Real Salt Lake".  Dynamos won 3-2 at the last minute, very exciting game.

After dinner, we all went for a bike ride - Jennifer on roller blades.  We rode around the neighborhood for a while and in time we rode past some new neighbors sitting outside their garage.  We stopped by to introduce ourselves and started talking.  Turns-out that their daughter races go-carts, in fact, she will be racing this weekend in Katy.  The picture shows Logan on the driver's seat of her go-cart, he had to get in.

Today is Sydney's birthday party, she has invited 12 of her friends to celebrate.  There will be a salon setup where the girls will have there hair, nails and make-up done.  Followed by a modeling show, pizza, cake and ice cream, and a movie.  The older girls from the neighborhood are helping with the salon.

Circus

Never, as a child, did I go to the circus, I didn't know what to expect.  I took the kids to the early show of the circus and it was amazing!  To be honest, I was expecting it to be a bit on the boring side, but I was wrong.  It truly was a feast for you eyes.  The best part was looking over at the kids during the show, they sat there wide-eyed and with mouths open.

On the way home, however, Logan announced, "This is the worst day ever, I haven't even played."

Theater under the stars

I learned at almost the last minute that there was going to be a play at the Herman Outdoor Theater - "Urban Cowboy".  The play started at 8pm so we drove into town to watch it.  The play was very enjoyable, we sat on the hill and there was a nice breeze.  The kids, however, grew tired and I don't blame them, we where there until after 11pm.  Logan gave-up on the play and just ran up and down the hill for almost three hours.  If I could only bottle that energy. . .
